Wine & Cheese Retail Night
Dateposted : June 13, 2008Month's end. Rain. Traffic. The combination of all three rendered the entire city to a standstill. Yet, at Aldo's Jonathon Glonek of Bangkok Fine Wine hosted to a packed, RSVP crowd. An exquisite selection of French cheese, chose and flown in by Vita Fresh, was sold out by night's end.
From the distinct aromas of Beaufort Pointe to the soft, blanched rind of Vacherin Mont d'Or, a variety of traditional, unpasteurised cheeses were brought in from France. Available at whosale prices exclusively for attendees, the counter was surrounded by lovers of fromage, pining for a taste and closer contemplation of the country's best produce.
Complimenting the cheese was a selection of New World wines from Southern and Western Australia. The wineries of Sandalford and Brokenhills Estate provided fresh, young, white vintages with wnoderful vibrancy and deeply flavored reds with full, smooth finishes.
With such strong support and enthusiasm for the Wine & Cheese Retail Night, Aldo's is committed to bringing more gourmet events that will generate a lively and lighthearted diversion for members and guests.
